PH51238: IN IDZ 15.0.5, EWM USER BUILD FAILS TO CLEAR THE PREVIOUS STATE OF A MULTIPLE OPTION PROPERTY ON THE SECOND BUILD

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • In IBM Developer for z/os 14.2.7 and 15.0.5, when an Engineering
Workflow Management user build has a property with several
possible values that can be chosen which define the DDs being
included in the JCL being built, the original state of the
property is not being cleared and reset for the second build.

After two executions of the user build, the state of the
property is recognized correctly and JCL is built and completes
satisfactorily.

Local fix

  • If a user build has properties that use differing values and are
run in a sequence one after another with differing values, run
the second build again to get a correct result.

Problem summary

  • There was a problem where cached EWM build properties were being
 used in consecutive user builds.

Problem conclusion

  • Caching was corrected so that EWM Build Properties are correctly
read when performing a User Build.
