  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When collecting Class 3 data, in some cases the expected data
is not collected. For example, the bufferpool and psid can
be incorrectly set to 0 for private queues, and the SMF record
for a shared queue can be incorrectly omitted.

    * - when enabling STATQ for shared queues *
    * the expected SMF 115 record is only *
    * produced on the queue manager that *
    *                      altered the queue's STATQ attribute.    *
    ****************************************************************
The page set and buffer pool values associated with a queue
were only being set in the QQST when the queue first
transitioned from empty to non-empty. For queues that already
contain Persistent messages, no such transition occurs (even
if the queue is emptied and used again), leading to page set 0
and buffer pool 0 being erroneously recorded.

When changing the STATQ attribute for a shared queue, the queue
definition in DB2 and XCF is updated, however the new value is
not used on other queue managers until they next read the queue
    definition.

Problem conclusion

  • CSQIERS3 is changed to set the correct page set and buffer pool
id for queues that contain Persistent messages at start up.

Alter Queue processing is changed to broadcast the change to the
STATQ attribute to all queue managers in the QSG so that the
    updated value is used.
