Error description

• MQ Development finds a code path whereby, when specifying
  CRESTART MQ may unintentionally remove more archive logs from
  the BSDS than it should which will disallow a successful
  restart during disaster recovery due to the missing inventory
  of required logs.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Abend 5C6-00D99001 occurs in CSQRRPRC   *
  *                      when starting a queue manager for the   *
  *                      first time after recovery at an         *
  *                      alternate site in a DR scenario.        *
  *                                                              *
  *                      Following the error the CSQJU004        *
  *                      utility shows that there is no          *
  *                      information about Archive Logs in the   *
  *                      BSDS.                                   *
  *                                                              *
  *                      Subsequent attempts to start the queue  *
  *                      manager fail with abends 5C6-00D10329   *
  *                      in CSQJW305, abend 5C6-00E80084, and    *
  *                      error messages CSQJ106E and CSQJ232E.   *
  ****************************************************************
  When following the procedure for restarting a queue sharing
  group at an alternate site, CSQJU003 is used to create a
  CRESTART record to indicate where the log must be truncated to
  create a qsg wide point of consistency.
  
  If the queue manager must read backwards more than 51 archive
  logs to locate the CRESTART LRSN, an error in locating the log
  containing the LRSN and truncating the log results in the
  reported abend, and the removal of all archive log information
  from the BSDS.
  
  This scenario would occur if the ENDLRSN of one of the queue
  managers in the queue sharing group is much earlier than the
  ENDLRSN for the others i.e. a queue manager that has a much
  lower Persistent workload.
  For example, this could be a queue manager that only performs
  CF Structure backups.
  

Problem conclusion

• CSQJW306 is changed to correctly locate the CRESTART LRSN when
  it is more than 51 archive logs earlier.
