Error description
In IDz v14.2.5 when users change the source and save the source they receive a Character Encoding Warning message "The editor contains characters that cannot be transferred correctly between local and remote systems. Saving the file might cause it to become corrupted if it is transferred. Workaround: Transfer the file to the zOS and back to the server.
Local fix
NA
Problem summary
The COBOL or PL/I Editor have an option on prefrence page Save Actions named "Check for issues with encoding compatibility". When this save action does find a valid issue because the remote encoding does not support a particular character found in the editor, it does not provide any guidance to which character is invalid, making the issue difficult for the end user to correct.
Problem conclusion
An additional button has been added to the "Character Encoding Warning" dialog named "Select First Character". When this button is pressed, the first invalid character is selected in the editor, and the Save action is aborted. This is in addition to the existing other buttons "Save Anyway" and "Cancel"
