Error description

  • When running a COBOL application within CICS, the client sees
the following top part of their trace:

Problem summary

  • USERS AFFECTED:
Clients who run COBOL for AIX programs within CICS and make use
of EXEC CICS RETURN may be affected by this issue.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The COBOL Runtime was not properly cleaning up certain items on
the return call leading to coredumps.

Problem conclusion

  • The COBOL Runtime cleanup routine has been improved to handle
this scenario.
