APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • In IDz 14.2.x, when a COBOL pgm
contains a line like

          88  SUCCESSFUL-STATUS VALUE ' '.

and VALUE phrase contains 0x00, the character will be
converted to \u0000(null character) in local.
That causes COBOL importer error. and zUnit does not generate
the testcase.

Problem summary


    

  • When a COBOL pgm  contains a line
like                                                

          88  SUCCESSFUL-STATUS VALUE ' '.

and VALUE phrase contains 0x00, the character will be converted
to \u0000(null character) in local.

That causes COBOL importer error. and ZUnit does not
generate the testcase.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • ZUnit has been changed so \u0000 would be replaced in temporary
input file for COBOL importer. That led to detouring the errors.
