• IBM Developer for z Systems - IDz - v14.2.3

  When using the Find function (CTRL+F) within the IDz
  14.2.3 z Systems LPEX Editor while viewing a large source file
  (e.g. 228,000 line Cobol source) with the Preferences ->
  LPEX Editor -> z Systems LPEX Editor -> Find Text ->
  Highlight all occurrences setting enabled, searches take an
  extremely long time (e.g. 15+ seconds), regardless of where the
  next searched text is found.
  

Local fix

• WORKAROUND:
  The workaround suggested to the customer was to use the similar
  functionality found in the Cobol Editor by using "Search Text in
  File" (Ctrl+Alt+F).

• Additional processing was occurring because of highlight. New
  code was added to bypass the additional processing.
