PH26062: ENABLING "HIDE STATEMENT BLOCKS NOT CONTAINING DATA ELEMENTS" INIDZ OUTLINE VIEW DOES NOT WORK WITH PL/I MACRO ON THE SAME LINE

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In IBM Developer for z/OS (IDz) v14.2.2, when "Hide statement
  blocks not containing data elements" in "Outline" view is
  activated, statement blocks with no data elements are not hidden
  if they contain a preprocessed macro on the same line as the
  statement.
  
  Here is an example of the statement block with macro $ABCD where
  after pre-processing, DO in the Outline view is not hidden after
  "Hide statement blocks not containing data elements" is
  activated :
  
  SELECT(YES);
      DO $ABCD;
  END;
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• When we try to hide statement blocks with no data elements, they
   will not be hidden if they contain a preprocessor macro on the
  same line as the statement.
  

Problem conclusion

• This issue has been resolved.
