Error description

  • When shutting down MQ it does not stop normally and has to be
cancelled instead. STOP FORCE does not quiesce MQ. If DIS
THREAD is issued no output is returned.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Queue manager shutdown hangs waiting    *
*                      for a log prefetch task to complete.    *
****************************************************************
During log offload, log prefetch tasks are scheduled to prefetch
the necessary log data.
When the offload is complete, these tasks should end, however
a serialisation problem can result in the prefetch task
remaining suspended, despite the ROB being cancelled.
During queue manager shutdown, another attempt is made to cancel
the ROB, and CSQJT001 suspends waiting for the task to complete.
However, the error left the ROB marked as already cancelled,
and so the subsequent cancel has no effect, resulting in a hang
in CSQJT001, and consequently queue manager shutdown.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • CSQVSRX is changed to improve the serialisation between
CSQVSUSP and CSQVCNCL.
