Error description

  • Compiler abend with message
    MSG IGYCB7104-U Assertion failed at
    ../../trwcode/optimizer/analyses/COBOL
    UseBeforeSet.cpp:896: foundSavedInfo

Local fix

  • Correct the program so PERFORMs aren't called recursively, or
    compile with NOINITCHECK

    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF. *
    ****************************************************************
The compiler was unable to determine which data items were
initialized on entry to a recursively-PERFORMed section or
paragraph. The compiler chose to terminate rather than
    continue.

Problem conclusion

  • The compiler was fixed to continue without initialization
information for a recursively-PERFORMed section or paragraph.
As data items referenced in that section might be initialized
outside the section, the compiler conservatively treats all
data items in the section or paragraph as initialized.
