Error description

  • The CSQFAMSM address space had already ended - this was due to
being killed by with signal 9 SIGKILL (IEF450I CSQFAMSM
    CSQFAMSM - ABEND=SEC6 U0000 REASON=0000FF09), and so the ASCB
stored in the queue manager was no longer valid. During queue
manager shutdown CSQ0BSTP attempts to post the ECB in the AMSM
address space using this ASCB, which fails with the abend 602
and captures the reported dump in this situation.

    *                        queue manager termination             *
    ****************************************************************
When AMS identifies with the queue manager, an incorrect
    termination ECB address is used.
If AMS terminates abnormally, EOT processing posts this address,
resulting in the AMS ASID value in the G0BL being overlaid.
When CSQ0EOMC checks if a terminating TCB is from the AMSM
address space, it incorrectly determines that the TCB is not,
due to the overlaid value, and does not call CSQ0DEAD to
    terminate the queue manager.

The queue manager does not expect to be running with AMS enabled
but no longer running, resulting in unexpected behaviour.

Problem conclusion

  • The correct ECB address is passed during identify processing,
preventing the overlay of the asid in the G0BL, and consequently
allowing the queue manager to be terminated abnormally in the
    event of abnormal AMS termination.
