APAR status

Error description

  • Client reports that issuing RESET CHANNEL against outbound
    shared channels failed and is followed by CSQX199E .
    CSQX199E is not correctly reporting 2192 error during RESET
    CHANNEL.
    Following messages are issued in CHINIT joblog:
    CSQM134I CSQ1 CSQMVCHL  RESET CHANNEL(channel-name)
    COMMAND ACCEPTED
    CSQX199E CSQ1 CSQXRESE Unrecognized message code 00000000
    CSQ9023E CSQ1 CSQXCRPS ' RESET CHANNEL' ABNORMAL COMPLETION

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When issuing a RESET CHANNEL command to *
    *                      a shared channel, if an error occurs,   *
    *                      an unrecognised error message is        *
    *                      returned.                               *
    ****************************************************************
    The code that deals with mapping internal return codes to
    readable error messages was not called during the RESET CHANNEL
    call.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The code has been changed to return the correct return code and
    error message.
