PH15911: PREVENT CPU INCREASE WHEN ONLY CHIN ASID IS RESTARTED AFTER APPLY OF APAR PH03551 19/10/01 PTF PECHANGE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If the fix for APAR PH03551 (PTF UI60541) is applied and
  afterwards only the CHIN ASID is restarted and not the MSTR,
  the CPU condition is not fully resolved. This APAR will flag
  PTF UI60541 as PE and provide high CPU relief even if only the
  CHIN ASID is restarted immediately after the apply.  It is
  worth noting that the fix for APAR PH03551 will resolve the
  entire high CPU issue once both the MSTR and CHIN ASID's are
  restarted.

  Problem occurs when APAR PH03551 has been applied and only
  the channel initiator has been restarted, and not the Queue
  Manager address space itself.
  

Problem conclusion

• Additional condition logic has been added to cater for when the
  channel initiator has been restarted but not the Queue Manager
  address space when the original fix/APAR has been applied.
