PH14437: COPY UTILITY SETS OLDEST VERSION IN SYSCOPY INCORRECTLY

Obtain the fix for this APAR.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When a multi-table table space has a system page for a dropped
  table, but does not have a system page for an active table, the
  COPY utility sets the oldest version in SYSCOPY incorrectly.
  Later, a MODIFY RECOVERY utility may delete the prime OBD.
  

Local fix

• Before copy:
  write the system page using REPAIR INSERTSYSTEMPAGES before the
  copy. But, the schema still need to match (REPAIR CATALOG TEST
  must passed).
  
  After copy:
  create a new table that has prime obd, dsn1copy the data to new
  table and unload to get V0 records.

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply corrective PTF when available          *
  ****************************************************************
  When processing a multi-table (no INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, or
  REORG after the ALTER) table space with at least one
  table that has no system page , and at least one table with
  no version 0 system page that had been dropped, COPY put an
  incorrect OLDEST_VERSION in SYSCOPY.
  When MODIFY RECOVERY ran, it will cleanup the SYSCOPY records
  older than the last full image copy and delete the OBDPRIME in
  SYSIBM.SYSOBDS.
  
  This same ABEND may also be encountered by any other process
  that read the data such as RUNSTATS, UNLOAD, and REORG.
  
  LOAD and REORG utility with inline copy can also update
  OLDEST_VERSION in SYSCOPY with an incorrect value.
  

Problem conclusion

• Utility code is changed to get the correct lowest version and
  update OLDEST_VERSION in SYSCOPY correctly.
