Error description

  • When using Microsoft SQL Server as database and using the JDBC
driver jar version 7.0, due to a bug in the JDBC driver (see
https://github.com/Microsoft/mssql-jdbc/issues/788), attempting
to run any new builds or viewing the plugin step details from
the System->Plugins menu will fail. In the server output logs,
there will be a stack trace with a root cause of
NullPointerException coming from the JDBC driver.
This bug has been fixed in the MS SQL Server JDBC driver jar
version 7.2.

Local fix

  • Update the MS SQL Server JDBC driver jar to version 7.2 to
resolve this issue.

  • This issue is caused by a bug in the JDBC driver version 7.0
from Microsoft
(https://github.com/Microsoft/mssql-jdbc/issues/788). Switching
to version 7.2 of this JDBC driver fixes the error.
