Error description

  • In IBM Developer for z Systems (IDz) v14.1.7, if a PL/I macro
expands over several lines where the continuation line starts
with a number character, the PL/I editor issues an incorrect
    syntax error.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • When variables were split on a number followed by 'i', the lexer
was incorrectly identifying that potion of the token as a
    complex literal.

Problem conclusion

  • Additional logic was added to check for and correct this case.
