Error description

  • Rational Developer for System z - RDz - v9.1.1

Via Menu Manager, in the 'Enter parameters' windows the
    description
of the Include parameter is wrongly displayed as Input value.

    Sample include command :
    $input(INCLUDE ( 0:unspecified 1:AAAAAAA 2:BBBBBBB
    3:CCCCCCC,DDDDDDD) ,0 $list{0,1,2,3})
'DDDDDDD' is wrongly displayed as Input value.

    Remark:
This is also reproducible at the IDz level 14.1.6

Local fix

  • Clear the parameter, then select the appropriate value in the
    list.

Problem summary

  • In the input command, values that were intended to be labels
were not processed correctly if the label contained a comma. In
this case, characters preceding the comma were considered part
of the prompt strings, and characters following the comma were
considered part of the default value.

Problem conclusion

Temporary fix
