  *                 TRUNC(BIN) in effect.                        *

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When we implemented NUMNCHECK(BIN), we  *
  *                      disabled the NUMCHECK(BIN) feature if   *
  *                      TRUNC(BIN) was in effect, since you     *
  *                      can't have overpopulated binary items   *
  *                      with TRUNC(BIN).  However, some         *
  *                      customers want to check anyway to see   *
  *                      if they can switch to TRUNC(OPT).       *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF.                      *
  ****************************************************************
  Customer wanted to check for 'overpopulated' data items using
  NUMCHECK(BIN) even with TRUNC(BIN), but the
  compiler did not support this.
  

Problem conclusion

• The compiler was changed to enable NUMCHECK(BIN) checking for
  binary data items (COMP,COMP-4, and USAGE BINARY) even when
  TRUNC(BIN) is in effect. Note that checking will still not be
  done for COMP-5 items, because even if a user switches to
  TRUNC(OPT), COMP-5 items cannot be overpopulated.
