Problem conclusion
This issue may occur if APC, being an HAManged item, hops among various node agents due to constrained resources. Code changes were to check the validity of previous location prior to accessing the MBean. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 8.5.5.17.
