APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If you login to clearquest web,on a french OS (setting browser
  language to french works for reproduction) open a record and
  click on the history tab. The load history button should display
  ⠜Charger l⠙historique⠝  but it is truncated at the
  apostrophe displaying only â œCharger l". The fix for this is to
  edit the cqRecordString.js file and replace â œCharger
  l⠙historique⠝ with ⠜Charger l'historique⠝ It has
  been tested in house and works. While this is a minor defect,
  The Government of Canada is upgrading their Clearquest
  installation, and wants this fixed. It has been a show stopper
  for them, the current workaround will allow them to move forward
  with upgrade, but they would like this issue fixed permanently
  as soon as possible

Problem conclusion

• The French version of ClearQuest Web now escapes the text in the
  Load History button correctly, so it is no longer truncated.
  A fix is available in ClearQuest 9.0.1.8.
