APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If you have an HTTP Send Request message that is configured as
    Message Type of Byte Array, when you browse to a new transport,
    the message is corrupted.
    An extra text node has been added and red crosses appear on the
    message.
    No message payload is sent when running the action.
    
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    
    1. Create a test with an HTTP Send Request action.
    2. Configure Message Type to be Byte Array.
    3. Apply the ByteArray schema to the message show the data
    String element.
    4. Save and run the test.
    5. Open and edit the test action and select a different HTTP
    transport.
    
    EXPECTED RESULTS:
    The message remains unchanged.
    
    ACTUAL RESULTS:
    The message has red crosses with the warning tool-tip of "This
    field is not a schema defined child of the current parent"
    An additional text node has been added.
    Running the test results in no message payload being sent.
    
    WORKAROUND:
    Create a new Send Request/Receive Reply with the desired HTTP
    transport and copy-paste the message payload from the original
    Send Request and Receive Reply.
