APAR status

Error description

• DSN3TM00 is trying to update protected storage after DSN3AMT3
  call, ZTYPE is a 1-bit input parm when calling DSN3TM00.  APARs
  PI74733 and PM98689 changed DSN3TM00 to update the caller's
  ZTYPE flag in certain situations.  This is OK when the caller is
  DSN3EOTS or DSN3EOM0, as they pass in ZTYPE as a variable from
  stack storage.  But when the caller of DSN3TM00 is DSN3AMT3 and
  DSN3RIA0, the ZTYPE flag is a constant within the module, which
  is in key 7 protected storage we get S0C4-04 on attempt to
  update the flag.

  This abend occurs when Db2 incorrectly attempts to update
  read-only storage in one of these two possible cases:
  - when STOP DB2 MODE(FORCE) is issued
  - when -RECOVER INDOUBT is issued for the agent, if the indoubt
    occurred due to an abnormal termination of the allied agent
    itself or of its daughters.
  

Problem conclusion

• Db2 has been changed to ensure that it does not attempt to
  update read-only storage during termination processing for
  an allied agent using RRSAF.
