IRLM APAR PH08431 improves deadlock processing and may speed up
timeouts when numbers of waiters accumulated for a single
resource grows large.

  • This APAR supports IRLM changes in PH08431 which speeds up
timeout processing to reduce the long list of waiters on a
single resource lock.
When Timeout Exit is called, IRLM may flag that no DSNT376I
message should be issued. In this situation IFCID 196 records
will still be written but there will be no DSNT376I message on
the console for these additional waiters being timed out.
