Error description

  • LOAD SHRLEVEL NONE ENFORCE NO NOCHECKPEND on a parent table
still set CHKP status on its child tables' pagesets after APAR
PI85722. With APAR PI85722 applied, the LOAD doesn't set CHKP on
parent table, but still set it on the child tables.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: LOAD REPLACE ENFORCE NO NOCHECKPEND *
    * on a parent table incorrectly set CHKP *
    * on its dependent child tables. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply corrective PTF when available *
    ****************************************************************
User ran a LOAD REPLACE SHRLEVEL NONE ENFORCE NO NOCHECKPEND
utility against a parent table in a referential integrity
relationship. The LOAD utility completed successfully, but
it left the dependent table spaces in check pending (CHKP)
even when NOCHECKPEND is specified by the user to avoid
    check pending from being set.

The reported problem is caused by incorrect program logic
where the LOAD REPLACE SHRLEVEL NONE utility does not take into
account the specification of NOCHECKPEND in avoiding setting
CHKP on the dependent tables after the parent table has been
    reset.

Problem conclusion

  • Code has been modified for LOAD REPLACE SHRLEVEL NONE to honor
the NOCHECKPEND specification and not leave the child table
spaces in CHKP when the parent table is being reset.
