Error description

• USERS AFFECTED: Users of Enterprise COBOL Vx.x compiling
  programs at OPT(0) with an extremely large
  amount of data items with value clauses.
  
  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Excessive compilation time.
  
  WORKAROUND/CIRCUMVENTION: Compile with different OPT level.
  
  RECOMMENDATION TO CUSTOMER: Apply provided fix.
  
  PROBLEM SUMMARY: Register allocation was spending too much time
  selecting the
  optimal register in programs that contain very large amount of
  data items with value clauses.
  
  CONCLUSION: The compiler was updated to select an optimal
  register faster.

  of data items with VALUE clauses. In addition, at OPT(1|2),
  the compiler was processing filler items with VALUE clauses in
  a non-optimal way.
  

Problem conclusion

• The compiler was updated to select an optimal register faster
  and to improve the processing of filler items with VALUE
  clauses at OPT(1|2).
