APAR status

Error description

  • In IBM Developer for z Systems - IDz - v14.1.4, template
proposal detail popup is not displayed in COBOL Editor


- Open printapp sample Cobol program
- add code MOVE and then press CTRL+SPACE to display proposal
- press CTRL+SPACE again to display the template proposals
- "Char-count" is displayed as first proposal but there is no
more detail popup to show its declaration:
       01 Program-other-fields.
          05 Char-count         Pic 99 Value ZEROS.

Local fix

  • There is no known workaround at this time.

Problem summary

  • COBOL content assist tool tips does not work.
