  • IBM Developer for z Systems - IDz - v14
"Downloading copybooks" displayed in progress status is
misleading

In the COBOL Editor and LPEX editor when you open up a COBOL
program the editor attempts to download any copybooks, and
in the progress status it states "downloading copybooks".
However, the copybooks may have been previously downloaded and
are stored in the workspace.  Therefore, the message is
misleading.

  • The term "Downloading" is misleading when downloading copybooks
because they are not necessarily being downloaded.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Changed "Downloading" to "Loading".
