Error description
After a CICS/DB2 deadlock 00C90088 - an ABEND 04E 00C90101 in DSNKISPL ERQUAL 5003 produced a dump and put the index into LPL for LOGAPPLY. Since the deadlock drove ABORT UNDO processing for a unique index defined on a PBR table, as we're attempting a leaf page split to reinsert the deleted key, which we don't allow during ABORT processing. Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: * * Db2 for z/OS V12 data sharing users. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: * * ABEND04E RC00C90101 ERQUAL5003 in * * DSNKISPL. * * ABEND04E RC00C90101, RC00C90102, * * RC00C90105, or RC00C902xx in * * various CSECTs. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * * Apply corrective PTF when available * **************************************************************** Problems are due to using an incorrect commit-LSN value which makes it appear that uncommitted updates are in fact committed. For example, the space for a deleted row or index entry may be reused even though the delete was not committed. The bad commit-LSN is the result of a timing window during the collection of LRSNs from all members of the data sharing group. When an LRSN list has been filled up, the code fails to account for the lag time since a member list was created.
Problem conclusion
The LRSN list merge process has been modified to always account for the potential lag time since a member's list was generated. Additionally, the process has been modified to ignore old lists from quiesced members.
