  • IBM Developer for z systems 14.1

Running local code page UTF-8, the COBOL source is not
indented when right-click in the editor and selectSource >
Format.

Steps to reproduce:

> Initialize local COBOL sample project
> Change local Codepage from cp1252 to UTF-8
from Windows>Preferences>Workspace>text File encoding
> Open StartApp.cbl using COBOL Editor
> add some blanks in the procedure division
> right click>Source>Format
> The source code will not be properly indented.

Remark : Format is correctly running with default encoding

Problem summary


    

  • IDz does not format correctly when using local code page as
UTF-8.

  • Added checking for specific multibyte characters with UTF-8.
