APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • In IBM Developer for z Systems V14.1.2,
When using -nl de_DE to start IDz client, the debug does not
quite work correctly.
In this case the program flow diagram is
drawn on program entry and debugging is possible on source code
level.
However the nodes are not colored in the diagram as the program
is stepped through.
It is also not possible to insert stack pattern breakpoints.

The Eclipse log shows the following exception:

java.lang.NullPointerException
    at
com.ibm.systemz.common.jface.editor.SequenceNumberAutoEditStrate
gy.customizeDocumentCommand(SequenceNumberAutoEditStrategy.java:
203)

Problem conclusion


    

  • This problem was caused by the debug UI not correctly handling
the scenario when IDz is in other national languages other than
English.

This issue is fixed in the following products:
IBM Developer for z Systems
IBM Developer for z Systems Enterprise Edition
