OA53417: HOMSRV STOPS WORKING AFTER FAILED LDAP PASSWORD

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Using HOD 12.0.1 on z/OS 2.2 with Tivoli Directory Server on
  z/OS and RACF authentication. I am able to login as admin until
  I get a password error on another ID (RACF Defined). From that
  point on I get a password failed for any ID and I see RACF
  errors for the ID that received the initial password failure.
  Once  this happens I am unable to login to
  the HOMSRV task until I recycle it. I am using Java 1.8.0_64 on
  z/OS.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
  * Customer was not able to login in HODAdmin.html with valid   *
  * user id and password when they were using LDAP-RACF          *
  * authentication in their environment. (For the first time     *
  * login there was no problem however if user try to login      *
  * after 30 mins problem was happening.)                        *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  * Customer can upgrade to 12.0.3 or later to resolve this      *
  * problem.                                                     *

Problem conclusion

• This problem is resolved in 12.0.3 and later version of HOD.
  once customer upgrade to 12.0.3 they will not face login related
  issue when they are using LDAP-RACF Configuration.
