APAR status

Error description

  • DISPGW panel AOFK2GL displays active gateway as inactive. The
cglobal used in the DISPGW output for the In/Outbound is only
populated when the gatoper (re)connects as triggered by customer
'EXCMD GATNVNY3,LOGOFF' or when system (re)connects; not by the
normal gateway monitor.

*                 using the DISPGW command.                    *

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The Gateway Monitor should detect when  *
*                      an inbound NetView session is active.   *
*                      The status of that inbound session      *
*                      should then be set to ACTIVE when       *
*                      appropriate.                            *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
****************************************************************
The Inbound Status on the DISPGW display should be set to ACTIVE
when appropriate.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The Gateway Monitor (REXX part INGR1IGT) has been modified to
verify all active inbound sessions (GATdomains) and to make sure
that they are set to ACTIVE.
