Error description

• When enough filtering criteria are
  specified, the construction of the *F0
  record may overlay the I/O parameter
  list, which in turn corrupts the output
  file. This loss of data is reported by
  MSGHSIZ012I.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: MSGHSIZ012I reporting the loss of       *
  *                      Usage Monitor data may arise due to     *
  *                      incomplete length checking which in     *
  *                      turn causes the parameter list of       *
  *                      HSISHRNK to be overlaid. A long list of *
  *                      user settings such as EXC, IDS or XDS   *
  *                      commands is usually needed to expose    *
  *                      this defect. A sufficiently long list   *
  *                      of user settings may or may not trigger *
  *                      the problem depending on variable       *
  *                      length character string alignment.      *

  Not all logic paths which increase the length of the *F0 filter
  audit record include checking to detect if the maximum length of
  this record has been exceeded.
  

Problem conclusion

• Length checks will be included in all logic paths which extend
  the length of the *F0 record.
