  • This message is written to the TEMS log.  It is being used in
the audit
messages we write to track Workflow activity as well as by the
Policy
Translator.  This is a globlization regression.

The message UNKNOWN ENDCODE: 1 is written to the log
when processing policies.  This issue occurs on most
policies and can result in the policy's activity
running when it should not.

Problem conclusion

  • The code has been updated to properly handle the EBCDIC to
UTF-8 conversions.  Occurrences of the UNKNOWN ENDCODE
message after this fix is applied will indicate an actual
error that should be reported.
