APAR status

Error description

  • --Customer additing Startupdb parameter in notes.ini with db
    replica id.
    --After delete startupdb in notes preference, IBM Notes not
    hang.
    --All user need use startupdb for  startup portal menu at first
    when start IBM Notes.
    --Found after performing below steps issue reprocible on MAC OS
    This is step to reproduce PMR. However this happen on MAC only.
    Windows is work fine.
    1. copy "zncportal.nsf" to notes data
    2. Edit notes.ini by add "StartupDB=472581A8:000AEEBB"
    3. start IBM Notes and click inbox email
    4. Scroll up and down in inbox
    --There is no issue with windows OS.

Problem summary

  • When set StartupDB/StartupDBName in Notes Preferences, or add a
     nsf file name right after start up command, the nsf db will be
     opened here.
    However, on Mac, seems something is not
     loaded/initialized properly at the point.
    Here just put the
     open action in message queue, so that those nsf db will be
     opened a little bit later.
    

Problem conclusion
