APAR status

Error description

  • A large test case that makes use of  a CLASS derived type
within an OpenMP target teams directive when compiled with
-qsmp=omp -qoffload causes the compiler to produce an internal
compiler error at compile time.

  • USERS AFFECTED:
Users compiling with a CLASS derived type within an OpenMP
target teams directive are affected by this issue.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The compiler produces an internal compiler error for a test case
that uses a CLASS derived type within an OpenMP target teams
directive are affected by this issue.
This is because the compiler does not yet support debugging
object oriented objects in gdb.

Problem conclusion

  • The compiler has been fixed to ignore such cases until OO is
supported.
