APAR status

Error description

• When compiling with the -qipa=list option with either the short
  or long suboption, the compiler is encountering an internal
  compiler error during the IPA link step:

Local fix

• Avoid usage of -qipa=list option.
  

Problem summary

• PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  An internal error occurs when generating function inlining
  statistics.  Internal compiler data on pointer function calls
  is invalid, resulting in an unexpected error condition.
  
  USERS AFFECTED:
  Users of -qipa=list who have pointer function calls in their
  source.
  

Problem conclusion

• Pointer function call statistics are now calculated correctly
  and the error condition no longer occurs.
