  • Linking objects at link step with -O3 -qpdf1 produced the
following assembler error:

tmpdir/ipaNFiWMI.s.
Check path name and permissions.
7035 1500-067: (S) asm statement generates errors in assembler
output.

Problem summary

  • PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: use of composite w-code streams and inline
asm will fail at assembly step due to naming confusion.

USERS AFFECTED: large programs with inline asm.

Problem conclusion

  • This fix solved problem of assembly file not found in large
compilations. Apply recommended fix.
