Error description

  • Some web application applications in IBM Business Automation
Workflow redirect to the login page after you log out. In Single
Sign-On configurations, some users might not have (or be aware
of) a user ID and password combination and, therefore, are
confused when they see this page.

    PRODUCTS AFFECTED
    Business Automation Workflow
    IBM Business Process Manager (BPM)
    IBM BPM Express
    IBM BPM Standard
    IBM BPM Advanced

Local fix

  • Following the instructions in "Configuring third-party
    authentication products"
    bpm.imuc.doc/topics/tsec_thirdpartyauthentication.html),
configure a custom logout page for each web application.

Problem summary

  • In environments that are configured with Single Sign-On, such as
SPNEGO, or redirect to an identity provider, such as User
Management Service or any SAML IdP, being redirected to the
login page might confuse users who do not have a user ID and
    password to log in.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix that modifies the following web applications to redirect
you to their main entry point will be included in a future
    release of Business Automation Workflow:
    Business Process Rules
    Performance Admin
    Process Center
    Process Portal
    Heritage Portal
    Process Admin

In non-SSO environments, you will be redirected to the login
page. In SSO environments, the fix triggers the authentication
flow, which might redirect you to the identity provider.
