Error description

  • WC_USERACTIVITY cookie is being cached when the cachespec.xml is
    set to store-cookies false and JVM is set to
    com.ibm.ws.cache.CacheConfig.disableStoreCookies ALL.

Problem summary

  • USERS AFFECTED:
    WebSphere Commerce v9 shoppers who customize the store server
    cachespec.xml.
    
    PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
    WC_USERACTIVITY cookie is being cached when it is set not to.
    
    BUSINESS IMPACT:
    The content cached with WC_USERACTIVITY cookie may be returned
    to the wrong user who may not own the WC_USERACTIVITY cookie.
    
    RECOMMENDATION:
    

Problem conclusion

  • A different API was used to add cookies to the response
    generated by the Transaction Server. Upgrade to WebSphere
    Commerce v9.0.1.4 to apply the fix for this APAR.
