Error description

  • Processing payment event in PaymentEventListener fails to get
the current activity token. It has exceptions such as,
java.lang.NumberFormatException or
java.lang.NullPointerException

PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
Activity token is null when processing payment event in
PaymentEventListener

BUSINESS IMPACT:
Failure to process payment event

RECOMMENDATION:

Problem conclusion

  • This error is encountered only in the following scenario:
REST API --> Controller Command --> BOD Command
The activity token is switched on in BOD framework, when BOD
completes it flushes all the activity token in cache.

The solution is to check whether the activity token is switched
on or not.If the activity token is switched on, then do not
flush the BCS cache directly.
