Error description

  • When loading large data set via Dataload, utility client
experiences the OutOfMemoryError Java heap space error.

The error also persists if the setting "idresolver cache = 0".

This problem occurs when the LoadItem flow holds large objects
in the memory and exhausts all the heap space.

Problem conclusion


    

  • Dataload CSVReader has logic upgrade from V7 to V8. The V8
dataload fails when handling the input string of CSV. Big string
 chuck is cached in memory and cannot be GCed.  The fix is to
force CSV reading result to be split into small chunks so it can
 be GCed correctly.
