Error description

  • When trying to upgrade WebSphere Commerce to 8.0.4.18 after
upgrading WebSphere Application Server to 8.5.5.14, you see the
following error:

 [Java 6] The wizard cannot continue because of the following
error: could not load wizard specified in /wizard.inf (104)
   [Java 6] Java Result: 104

Local fix

  • 1. Rename ${WASInstall}/java to ${WASInstall}/java8
2. Copy ${WASInstall}/java_1.7_64?  to ${WASInstall}/java (in
${WASInstall} directory, including the three following Java
folders: java, java_1.7_64, and java8.
3. Launch Installation Manager, and upgrade environment.

RECOMMENDATION:

Problem conclusion

  • Changed the default WAS JDK path:java to java_1.7_64? in
Installation Manager package.
