APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When the name field of the name value pair variable contains a
special character like an & and the name field is selected from
a single select, the value is not retained because  the & is
translated to &amp, causing the names to no longer match. As a
result, when the coach is reloaded, the value is shown as empty
instead of the selected value.

Local fix

  • Other than not using special characters in the name fields of
the name value pair variable used with a single select, no known
 workaround exists.

Problem summary

  • No additional information is available.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix that uses the text from the items data instead of the DOM
will be available in a future release of IBM Business Automation
 Workflow.
