JR59465: TRADEPOSCN_ID is not respected when you update offerprice through XML message

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When you try to update the OFFER database table through XML
  messages, the combination of partnumber and member id will be
  used to obtain a catentry. Then, the catentry_id along with
  PRECEDENCE will be used to obtain OFFER_ID, but not respect
  TRADEPOSCN_ID.  As a result, if there are 2 OFFER records with
  the same PRECEDENCE (but different TRADEPOSCN_ID), it may pick
  the wrong OFFER_ID and update the wrong OFFER record.

• USERS AFFECTED:
  WebSphere Commerce Version 7 on Feature Pack 2/Fix Pack 9 who
  update the OFFER database table for products
  
  PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
  TRADEPOSCN_ID is not respected when you update offerprice
  through XML message
  
  BUSINESS IMPACT:
  Cannot change product OFFER information (such as price) based on
   the combination of PRECEDENCE & TRADEPOSCN_ID.
  
  RECOMMENDATION:
  

Problem conclusion

• Updated logic.
  If TRADEPOSCN_ID is provided in XML message, get OFFER based on
  the combination of TRADEPOSCN_ID & PRECEDENCE along with
  catentry_id (which is obtained based on PARTNUMBER and
  MEMBER_ID). Otherwise, get OFFER based on PRECEDENCE along with
  catentry_id.
