Error description

  • When using the CatalogService web service to load attribute
    values of more than one type (such as String and Float values),
    the service might fail with errors.
    
    The errors will indicate a conflict between the data types.

Problem summary

  • USERS AFFECTED:
    WebSphere Commerce users on Version 7 that are making use of the
     Catalog Entry web service with attributes having different data
     types.
    
    PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
    CatalogService throws errors when updating multiple attribute
    values
    
    BUSINESS IMPACT:
    Business users may not be able to easily update catalog entries.
    
    RECOMMENDATION:
    

Problem conclusion

  • Updated ChangeCatalogEntryAttributesMediator to properly handle
    the different attribute types.
