Error description

  • You might need the ability to add configuration to the email
notification mechanism of IBM Business Process Manager (BPM)
Standard to allow communication with the mail server via SSL.
The configurations are defined in the 99Local.xml file.

The keys are mail-smtp-port, ssl-protocols and use-ssl. The
default values are

            <mail-smtp-port>-1</mail-smtp-port>
            <ssl-protocols>TLSv1.2</ssl-protocols>
            <use-ssl>false</use-ssl>

Local fix

  • 



Problem summary


    

  • The SSL/TLS support was missing to traffic between IBM BPM
setups in tenant environments and the platform SMTP server.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The ability to configure email notification to allow
communication with the mail server via SSL has been added for
future IBM BPM releases.
