APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When you click the down arrow multiple times in the Date Time
Picker, you notice that the hour value skips values and counts
by 2 instead of 1. Also, when you click and hold the down arrow
in the Date Time Picker and drag toward the calendar, the Date
Time Picker values change continuously even after you let go of
the mouse button.

Local fix

  • Keep browser maximized.

Problem summary

  • Hours are skipped because the mouse button is held down on the
down arrow longer than expected. The current logic uses 100ms to
determine a held mouse button, which can cause both a single
mouse click and a held mouse button to be incorrectly handled.

Hours or minutes change continuously even after the mouse button
is released is also related to the current logic, which does not
stop the timer that updates the values.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix that correct the Date Time Picker behavior will be
available in a future release of IBM BPM.
