APAR status

Error description

  • When you run the DBUpgrade command to migrate your database from
IBM Business Process Manager (BPM) V8.0.x or a previous version
and the Dmgr profile name is different than the profile folder
name, the DBUpgrade command fails with the following error:

com.lombardisoftware.tools.dbupgrade.steps.MigrateUserToFileRepo
sitory.createUsersInVMMUserRegistry - WCMD0003E: The specified
profile "Dmgr" cannot be found. If a default profile exists and
you wish to use it, the -profileName parameter is not required.

Local fix

  • 



Problem summary


    

  • This error occurs because the Dmgr profile name is retrieved
from Dmgr profile folder name. Therefore, when the Dmgr profile
name is different from the profile folder name, the DBUpgrade
command can't find the profile.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • An interim fix for IBM BPM V8.6.0.0 is available that correctly
retrieves the Dmgr profile name even when it is different from
the Dmgr profile folder name.
