Error description

  • At run time, the Web Service Integration (WSI) call depth-first
algorithm API, which is used to search the attached server
definition by name, reduces the implementation's performance. In
 addition, the performance is inconsistent with the search
behavior of other kinds of server definitions (such as Decision,
 and Enterprise Content Management).

Problem conclusion


    

  • A fix is available for IBM BPM V8.5.7.0 cumulative fix 2017.06
that changes the search algorithm from depth-first to
breadth-first to improve performance and ensure consistency with
 the search behavior of other kinds of server definitions.

With this fix installed, you can use the following new property:

           <use-breadth-first-search-wsserver
merge="replace">true</use-breadth-first-search-wsserver>
        </webservices>
    </common>

The default value is true. To keep the previous behavior, change
the value to false.
